Does Battery Health Affect iPhone Value?
How battery health shows up in resale offers, and when a replacement makes sense.
iPhones show battery health under Settings → Battery → Battery Health (or Battery Health & Charging). Many buyers check it, and some buyback programs factor it in.
Why it matters
A worn battery means shorter battery life and, on older models, possible slowdowns under load. Apple considers a battery worn when its capacity is well below original, and recommends service when the phone shows a service message.
Should you replace it before selling?
Compare the price of an official replacement with how much higher offers are for phones with a healthy battery. If the difference is bigger than the repair cost, replacing it can pay off. If not, sell as-is and disclose the battery health.
